Our R&D office offers a full range of design services. We have analog and digital circuit design expertise for a wide variety of applications. Our designers are fluent in the most cutting-edge digital signal processors and power electronics devices.

MANUFACTURING

We have over 40 years of electronic and electromechanical manufacturing experience. We have the expertise and equipment to meet any challenge.

• Fine-pitch SMT down to 0201 size, BGA, through-hole, board size 2"x1.2" up to 16"x18", leaded and lead-free
• Two state of the art Versatec C5 high-speed fine-pitch pick&place machines (up to 14,000 components per hour per machine)
• Two Amistar 5700 pick&place machines
• Two Hanwha SM482 pick&place machines
• Jaguar Automation M6 reflow oven
• Jaguar Automation N300 wave soldering machine
• Automated optical PCB inspection station
• Manual microscope inspection stations
• UL-approved wiring harness facility capable of manufacturing any harness
• In-house machine shop with a wide range of equipment
• Testing equipment covering all transportation and military standards, including a 6KW vibration shaker and +175°C/-70°C environmental ESS stress test chamber
• All production is serialized and tracked throughout the entire process by our production and quality control systems

REPAIR / REFURBISH

We have extensive experience in the repair and refurbishing of all kinds of electronic devices. Our specialty is bringing back to life critical legacy devices, long out of production and support, for the transportation and military industries.

Cygnus has considerable experience in the design and manufacturing of medical electronic devices. Part of the current staff has come over from Paceart after its acquisition by Medtronic. Paceart is a company specialized in pacemaker implantable equipment.
